DC discusses restoration plan for heritage monuments in Samba

SAMBA, Dec 14: Deputy Commissioner of Samba, Abhishek Sharma today chaired a meeting to discuss the revival and restoration of heritage monuments in the district.
The meeting was attended by various key officers, including the Additional Deputy Commissioner samba, the Chief Planning Officer Samba, the Chief Education Officer Samba, the Superintending Engineer of PWD, the Executive Engineers of PWD-Samba and Vijaypur, the Assistant Director of Archives, and the District Tourism Officer.
The meeting focused on the upcoming projects in the district that aim to preserve and promote the cultural heritage of Samba. The PWD was assigned the responsibility of preparing Detailed Project Reports (DPRs) in collaboration with the archives department for the identified projects. The projects include the conservation of historical buildings.
The DC Samba stressed the importance of timely completion of the projects and directed the officials to ensure quality work and adherence to the guidelines.
He said that the restoration of heritage monuments would not only enhance the aesthetic appeal of the district, but also boost the local economy and generate employment opportunities.
