KISHTWAR, Apr 6: The District Health Society (DHS) here today under the supervision of Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar, Dr. Devansh Yadav, also DHS chairman, organized a blood donation camp at District Hospital Kishtwar.
The Camp witnessed massive turnout of people from different walks of life including army and paramilitary personnel, ANMT students and local volunteers.
DC Yadav himself donated blood to boost the morale of others. In total, 26 units of blood were collected during the Camp.
On this occasion, CMO Kishtwar, Medical Superintendent District Hospital Kishtwar, Dr. Sham Lal and other medical officers and staff were present.
DC Kishtwar highlighted the importance of blood donation and educated the gathering on how it can save some life.
He thanked the army and paramilitary personnel for their participation and said that their efforts are always commendable.
Yadav also appreciated ANMT students and local volunteers for their contribution to the cause.
CMO Kishtwar lauded the efforts of organizers and donors and said that such events help to create awareness about the importance of blood donation in society.
