DC holds public grievances redressal camp

SAMBA, Nov 12: Deputy Commissioner, Samba, Sheetal Nanda today held a public grievance redressal camp at Govt High School Papar Brahmana.
ACD Samba Tilak Raj, District Heads of different departments, Sarpanchs and villagers from Papar Avtara, Brahmana, Bharatgarh and Bagar attended the camp.
On the occasion, main issue flagged by the people included improvement in road connectivity to villages. They also demanded construction of Govt High School building under RMSA and filling up of vacant posts in the schools. They also demanded RBA status for residents of the area keeping in view difficult terrain of the said area.
They also asked for organizing agricultural camps on regular basis, repair of damaged water pipes and repair of PHC building.
DC assured villagers that road works will be taken up on priority. She directed Executive Engineer PWD to submit proposal under NABARD for the road works. She also directed Executive Engineer PDD to adhere to power cut schedule and  DSWO was asked to approve pension cases on priority under rules.
Deputy Commissioner asked PHE Department to submit proposals for capacity augmentation for improving water supply in the area. She also directed all departments to work in convergence for improving service delivery in the area.
