JAMMU, Jan 2: A new diagnostic centre “Prime Healthcare and Intervention Centre” was today inaugurated at Trikuta Nagar, near Nideesh Apartment, Jammu by the Deputy Commissioner Jammu, Simrandeep Singh.
The inaugural function was attended by a large gathering from general public. The centre provides modern digital X-ray, ultrasound and intervention facilities. The centre has several latest diagnostic facilities including 3D/ 4D ultrasound, contrast enhanced ultrasound, ultrasound elastography, musculoskeletal ultrasound, cranial ultrasound and fetal echocardiography.
Besides, several interventional facilities will be offered to the patients including drainage of abscesses (pus), collections, pleural fluid, empyema, fine needle aspiration cytology (FNAC), biopsies and endovenous varicose vein ablation.
The centre is run by a dedicated team of specialists including Dr. Pankaj Gupta (Consultant Radiologist, M.D. Radiodiagnosis, AIIMS, New Delhi; Ex-senior resident PGIMER, Chandigarh) and Sahil Gupta (Executive Director, MBA-HR).
The Executive Director of the centre ensured highest quality patient care and satisfaction. It was highlighted by the Consultant Radiologist that intervention facilities were hither to not available in this region. Intervention radiology is a robust clinical speciality that aims to provide minimally invasive treatment for various disorders without the morbidity of surgery (does not require large incision or “cut” on the body) and does not routinely require general anaesthesia.
