JAMMU, June 14: Deputy Commissioner Jammu, Avny Lavasa today visited Railway Station, Vaishnavi Dham, Saraswati Dham and Panchayat Bhawan to inspect the arrangements for Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra (SANJY) 2023.
The Deputy Commissioner was accompanied by Commissioner JMC, Rahul Yadav; SSP Railways, Mohan Lal Kainth; SSP Traffic, Faizal Qureshi; ADC (LO) Harvinder Singh; ADC, (ADM) Sandeep Seointra, Nodal officers of respective registration counters and other senior officers deployed for smooth conduct of SANJY 2023.
The Deputy Commissioner took a detailed review of the arrangements put in place for the Yatris including accommodation, security arrangements, installation of technical equipments and wi-fi, public address system, power and water supply cleanliness, sanitation and medical facilities at registration counters, Lodgement centres and especially at Yatri Niwas.
She also reviewed the security and other arrangements including token and registration services at Railway Station, Vaishnavi Dham and Panchayat Bhawan.
The Deputy Commissioner further inspected the RFID centre to be established at the Tourist Reception Centre building within the premises of the Railway Station.
The Deputy Commissioner directed the concerned departments to put in place all arrangements before the commencement of Yatra. She also directed the concerned officers to gear up their men and machinery to ensure a comfortable journey and stay of Yatris. She asked the concerned departments to make sure that the pilgrims do not face any hardship on account of basic amenities.
