JAMMU, May 19: Deputy Commissioner Sachin Kumar Vaishya today reviewed the working of Revenue Department at a meeting attended by senior functionaries.
The DC urged the officers to maintain constant vigil on the ground situation and prioritise the delivery of services to the public, adhering strictly to the established guidelines.
He insisted on the time bound service delivery as provisioned under the PSGA, particularly emphasising the swift issuance of Fard in legitimate cases to prevent unnecessary delays.
The DC conducted a thorough examination of the progress in the digitisation of Jamabandis, while underscoring the necessity of timely distribution of land passbooks and property cards.
The Tehsildars presented the current status of their respective tehsils, with the DC emphasising the importance of geo-refering activities in this context. To expedite the process, time-bound directives were issued to address any pending tasks.
The meeting saw participation of senior officers including Additional District Development Commissioner, Sher Singh, Assistant District Commissioner, Shishir Gupta, Sub Divisional Magistrates and Assistant Commissioner Revenue besides the presence of Tehsildars, Naib Tehsildars and others concerned.
