JAMMU, Aug 20: Deputy Commissioner Jammu Anshul Garg today chaired a meeting with concerned SDMs/ Tehsildars here to review the progress on the implementation of the Survey of villages and mapping with improvised technology in village areas (SVAMITVA) Scheme, E-Rent implementation and writing of Jamabandies.
He reviewed the status of uploading of the list of beneficiaries/ Acquaintance Rolls of rental compensation in the software, updated status of writing of Jamabandies and updated status of SVAMITVA Scheme.
Highlighting the SVAMITVA Scheme, Anshul Garg informed that the scheme would provide the ‘record of rights’ to village household owners possessing houses in inhabited rural areas in villages which, in turn, would enable them to use their property as a financial asset for taking loans and other financial benefits from banks.
Meanwhile, the Jamabandi writing was also reviewed in the meeting. The SDMs apprised the Deputy Commissioner about the progress of writing of jamabandies so far. The DC asked the concerned to expedite the writing of Jamabandies of remaining villages and complete the task within stipulated time frame.
The meeting was attended by Assistant Commissioner Revenue Vijay Sharma; District Informatics Officer Sanjay Gupta, SDMs, Tehsildars and other concerned officers.
