KATHUA, July 5: Deputy Commissioner, Kathua Rahul Pandey today handed over keys of mini commercial vehicles to 26 beneficiaries of MUMKIN Scheme at a brief ceremony held in the office premises of District Employment & Counseling Centre.
On the occasion, Assistant Director, Employment & Counseling Centre, Kathua Naresh Kumar, representatives of Mahindra & Mahindra, Tata Motors and Ashok Leyland Companies, besides beneficiaries of MUMKIN scheme were also present.
While throwing light on the youth centric initiatives of the Government, the DC said MUMKIN scheme has been launched with the motive to provide support to the unemployed youth of J&K to make them self-reliant. He said that these vehicles provided under the scheme will open new avenues of employment for the beneficiaries and will make them self-reliant. He also congratulated the team of DECC Kathua and beneficiaries on the occasion.
“These vehicles will help the beneficiaries in making both the ends meet besides providing them a sustainable source of livelihood”, the DC added.
Assistant Director, Employment & Counseling Centre, Naresh Kumar informed that MUMKIN scheme has received massive response from across the district. He said with disbursement of 26 mini commercial vehicles today, the total tally of the beneficiaries who availed the schemes reaches to 139.
