DC Kulgam evaluates the progress made under various agricultural schemes

Directs all departments to strive for complete target achievement across all initiatives

KULGAM, Nov 14: Deputy Commissioner Kulgam, Athar Aamir Khan today held a meeting to review the status of implementation for various agricultural and developmental schemes within the Agriculture and allied sectors of the district.

During the session, he assessed the progress of several initiatives, including the Holistic Agriculture Development Plan (HADP), DAKSH Kisan, Kisan Khadmit Ghars (KKGs), Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana (PMFBY), Kisan Credit Card (KCC), JK Comprehensive Agriculture and Allied Implementation Project (JKCIP), and Pradhan Mantri Formalization of Micro Food Processing Enterprises (PMFME), among others.

The Chief Agriculture Officer (CAO) of Kulgam provided a detailed report on the advancements of these schemes. It was reported that 15,322 applications have been approved under the HADP.

In the DAKSH Kisan scheme, 5,168 out of 8,985 registered farmers have received complete training. Furthermore, 5,249 farmers have registered on the Kisan Khadmit Ghars (KKG) App, and 72 Kisan Sampark Abhiyan (KSA) sessions were conducted during the third phase.

The Deputy Commissioner urged all departments to focus on achieving 100% targets for all schemes. He specifically called on banks to accelerate the issuance of Smart Cards to all Kisan Credit Card (KCC) holders.

JDP Zahid Sajjad, Assistant Commissioner of Revenue (ACR) Mushtaq Ahmad Lone, Chief Horticulture Officer (CHO), Chief Animal Husbandry (CAH), and other heads of relevant schemes were present in the meeting.
