KULGAM, Oct 18: District Administration Kulgam today organized public outreach programmes in Devsar, Kulgam and D.H Pora blocks to address common public issues of the district.
Deputy Commissioner Kulgam Dr. Bilal Mohi-Ud-Din Bhat chaired the Weekly Block Diwas at Kulgam during which he took the appraisal of various issues pertaining to the people and public interest.
The programme saw participation of people from different areas including Ashthal, Gund Kilam, Rahaman, Kakran, Ladgoo, Chambagund and put up developmental and welfare demands including construction of footpath at Gund Kilam, development of playfied at Chambagund, deployment of full time math teacher to High School Chambagund, construction of flood protection bunds etc.
Other than the public, PRI members from various areas also projected developmental issues of their respective areas.
Concerned district officers responded to the queries and grievances of the people. They also educated them about various welfare schemes and ongoing developmental projects.
The DC after giving patient hearing to the public issues raised during the camp, addressed some grievances of the immediate nature on the spot.
ACR, Imtiyaz Ul Aziz; JDP Zahid Sajjad; ACD Mohammad Imran and other district officers and officials were also present in grievances redressal camp.
At Devsar and DH Pora, Block Diwas was presided by ADDC Showkat Ahmad Rather and SDM Noorabad Bashir Ul Hassan respectively.
