DC Kupwara reviews functioning of internet kiosk

KUPWARA, Sept 14: Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kupwara Anshul Garg today visited various offices of DC complex wherein he reviewed the functioning of internet kiosk established at National Informatics Centre (NIC) and District Information Centre (DIC) Kupwara.
The internet kiosk has been established on the directions of Chief Secretary, to provide e-tendering facilities to contractors and internet facility to students and youth for filling of examination forms and other recruitment applications.
The DDC said that 17 terminals have been made functional in three centers, which include 10 terminals at NIC, 2 at DIC with digital scanner to facilitate students, 2 at election cell for ARTO Kupwara to provide registration certificates, licenses to transporters and general public and remaining three terminals have been kept for additional working. He said that the internet kiosk is working under the supervision of ADC Kupwara. The people of entire district can avail internet facility from 10.00 am to 6.00 pm.
The Deputy Commissioner directed the operators posted in internet kiosk to provide all possible help to students and contractors in accessing internet facilities.
He also inspected facilitation centre established by ARTO Kupwara at DC Office Complex to provide registration certificates, licenses and other services to transporters and general public
The DDC was accompanied by ADC Farooq Ahmad Baba, ACR, officials of DIC, NIC and other concerned officers.
