Kishtwar, Feb 22 : In a significant move towards promoting the cultural and tourism potential of Kishtwar district, Deputy Commissioner Dr. Devansh Yadav, along with the Kishtwar Development Authority and other stakeholders, today launched Kishtwar Idol 2.0.
The event, inaugurated at TRC Kishtwar’s Picture Time Theatre, also featured the unveiling of the official Kishtwar tourism website of KDA and the Vibrant Kishtwar Calendar, highlighting the district’s tourism allure.
The ceremony was attended by other dignitaries including SSP Kishtwar Abdul Qayoom and CEO KDA Dr. Rishi Kumar Sharma,ACD Kishtwar Phulail Singh, AD FCS&CA Shafkat Keen,Dy SP DAR Sajjad Khan, CEO Kishtwar Prehlad Bhagat, DYSSO Kishtwar Kharati Lal Sharma besides officers from the civil and police administration and prominant locals personalities and musical Maestro also remained present on the occasion.
The event commenced with a welcome address by the District Information Officer Kishtwar (Nodal Officer Kishtwar Idol Season 2) Dr Kuldeep Kumar shedding light on the journey of Kishtwar Idol,an initiative conceived and executed by DC Kishtwar Dr Devansh Yadav.
The inaugural session, marked by the ceremonial lighting of the lamp and the singing of the National Anthem besides musical performances by singing maestro showcased the success of Kishtwar Idol Season 1 and the anticipation for Season 2.
Addressing the inaugural session, the Deputy Commissioner Dr. Devansh Yadav emphasized the communal harmony fostered by Kishtwar Idol and its role in providing local singers with a platform to reach new heights in their careers. He also highlighted the launch of the official tourism website www.kishtwartourism.com as a cutting-edge initiative to showcase the district’s beauty globally , leveraging the technology.
He emphasised the local artists to partake the season 2 as the Kishtwar Idol team is transversing across the district Kishtwar, holding ground auditions at different locations on scheduled date as shared on social media handles of district administration Kishtwar and District Information & Public Relation, Kishtwar.
During the unveiling of the KDA’s website, CEO Dr. Rishi Kumar Sharma presented its features, emphasizing its role in assisting tourists visiting Kishtwar.
A promotional video on the National wide Pulse Polio Campaign was also screened on the occasion for the audiences of Kishtwar.
On the inaugural day of Kishtwar Idol Season 2 ground auditions, a remarkable display of talent unfolded as more than 100 local aspiring singers participated. The rigorous auditions saw 33 contestants showcasing exceptional skills, earning their ticket to the next round. The event marked a promising start, highlighting the abundance of musical talent in the district.
