RAJOURI, Sept 9: The Deputy Commissioner Rajouri Aijaz Ahmed Asad today ordered probe into the recovery of about 252 partially damaged school bags from a garbage dump at Kotranka last evening.
Official sources said that nearly 252 school bags issued under SSA were found lying at a garbage dump in Kotranka town on Saturday. The police reached the spot after coming to know about the matter and started investigation.
The CEO, Rajouri Lal Hussain said that these bags were issued about four years back and were in dam aged condition. He also assured to hold departmental inquiry and take action against the people responsible for distribution of these bags in the area.
However, the DC Rajouri after coming to know about the matter today directed Tehsildar, Kotranka Rafiq Choudhary to hold inquiry into the matter. Principal, Govt Higher Secondary School, Budhal Mohd Shabir is another Inquiry committee member. The committee has been asked to submit report within 3-4 days.
