POONCH, Aug 4: District Development Commissioner Rahul Yadav, today held his first public grievances redressal camp at Khari Karmara.
During the meeting people of the four panchayats apprised the DDC about infrastructure deficit in the area and raised demands including better road connectivity in the areas of of Khari Karmara. They demanded construction of roads including Kasaliya Link road, Sayal-Batwari road, Medical Sub-Centre road, Hathimatha road and others, upgradation of schools and adding playground in required schools, upgradation of PHC to SDH level, improvement in drinking water facilities by upgrading water supply schemes (WSSs).
DDC interacted with the people of the area and resolved some of the problems highlighted by the public by passing on spot directions to the concerned district and sectoral officers. Rahul Yadav directed the district officers to remain in contact with the people, pay regular visits and organize camps in all the remote areas to generate awareness about the various government schemes designed for the welfare of general public.
While briefing the gathering, DDC informed that all their genuine issues will be looked into. He informed that the people have a crucial role for the correct implementation of developmental work. He also asked them to report the absenteeism if any in the schools and medical centers in the area so that proper action can be taken against erring official.
