DC presides over Weekly Block Diwas programme at Chamoti Drabshalla

KISHTWAR, Feb 8: In order to listen and redress the grievances/issues of people at their doorstep, District Development Commissioner (DDC) Kishtwar Dr Devansh Yadav today presided over the Weekly Block Diwas programme at Government Middle School (GMS) Chamoti, a very remote and backward ST area of Block Drabshalla.
Among others, the Programme was attended DDC member Drabshalla Ashok Kumar, ACD Kishtwar Atul Dutt Sharma, Chief Education Officer Kishtwar Sudershan Sharma, CDPO Drabshalla Farhat Shameem, AEE Jal Shakti besides representatives of other departments like RDD, Education, Jal Shakti Department.
During the Programme, various issues pertaining to the Panchayat were put forth by DDC member and public representatives of the areas which includes availability of drinking water under JJM, electrification to left out villages, upgradation of MS Chamoti to High School, Health Centre, PMGSY road for upper Chamoti, payment of land compensation under Chamoti Road, besides demanding jobs for their unskilled youths in Rattle Hydro Electric Project, Drabshalla.
DC Kishtwar heard all projected grievances patiently and tried to resolve the majority of them on the spot in negotiation with other concerned officers of the departments by passing up a slew of directions. He assured them that the rest of the grievances will be redressed in a time bound manner.
Speaking on the occasion, DC Kishtwar said that people need not to worry about the ongoing anti-encroachment drive as the Government is committed to safeguard the interests of common people. Regarding the construction of Dispensary at Chamoti, DC Kishtwar directed Sarpanch and concerned Naib Tehsildar to identify the land for the same.
He also added that soon an ambulance will be made available for the area donated by Ratle Hydroelectric power project authorities under CSR which will carry Jananai Suraksha Yojna Pregnant Women to Drabshalla PHC on monthly basis.
Earlier, DC Kishtwar in presence of BDC chairman Drabshalla Suraj Singh and others inaugurated the Health & Wellness Centre Drabshalla besides the approaching road to HWC taken up under MGNREGA.
