DC Raina likely to continue as AG

JAMMU, Nov 18: Government of Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir is likely to issue orders shortly for continuation of D C Raina as Advocate General.

Official sources told EXCELSIOR that D C Raina called on Chief Minister Omar Abdullah, who informed the former that his resignation has been rejected by the Government and fresh order regarding his continuation as Advocate General will be issued shortly.
It is pertinent to mention here that D C Raina had submitted his resignation to the Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on October 19, 2024 to enable the political Government to appoint a new person to the post.
D C Raina was appointed first Advocate General of the Union Territory of J&K on November 1, 2019. He was appointed Advocate General thrice in erstwhile State of J&K-in September 2008, February 2016 and July 2018. He has vast experience in various fields of Law-Constitutional, Service Matters, Civil Laws and Taxation Laws.
