RAJOURI, Dec 31: Deputy Commissioner Rajouri, Vikas Kundal today conducted a surprise inspection of Government offices of Sunderbani sub division to take stock of the public service delivery and attendance of staff. He also took stock of developmental activities in different parts of the sub division.
Institutions inspected by the Deputy Commissioner during the surprise visit included the office of the Tehsildar, Tehsil supply office and Tehsil Treasury Office.
The Deputy Commissioner checked the attendance of the employees and the records of the offices and found everything satisfactory.
He stressed upon the officers and officials to work in a coordinated manner so that the benefit of the welfare schemes percolate down to the grassroots level. He further asked to ensure quality disposal of public grievances.
Later, the DC chaired a meeting to review the progress under different schemes being implemented by line departments in the sub-division.
The meeting was attended by ADC Sunderbani, Vinod Kumar Behnal; CPO, Mohammad Khurshid; ExEn PWD(R&B) Nowshera, Bikram Singh; ExEn PMGSY, Subash Chander and other concerned officers.
Reviewing the progress of works being executed by JPDCL, it was informed that 4 projects were approved and all have been completed. Taking stock of the Tanda Salheri scheme, the concerned officer informed that a 25 KVA is being installed and work on it would be completed soon.
While taking note of unscheduled power-cuts, the DDC asked the concerned officers of JPDCL to put the curtailment schedule in public domain in advance for the information of the general public. Taking stock of the progress of the PWD(R&B) sector schemes, the ExEn PWD informed that 25 KM road has been blacktopped in Sunderbani sub division.
Discussing the progress under BADP, it was informed that out of 9 works, 3 works are complete while rest are in progress. Inquiring about the status of GDC Sunderbani building, it was also apprised that the building has been completed in all respects and will be handed over to the concerned department soon. Taking note of the issue of Devak Bhamblia road, the concerned officer apprised that there is a need for the forest clearance.
The DDC urged the officers to work in tandem, with more zeal, and put up sincere efforts to advance the district’s development and produce better results on the ground.
