RAJOURI, July 31: To redress the grievances of the public at their doorsteps, the Deputy Commissioner Rajouri, Om Prakash Bhagat held a public outreach camp at block Manjakote as a part of the Weekly Block Diwas initiative.
A wide range of issues were raised by the attendees, including demands for the macadamization of roads, upgradation of Government institutions, scarcity of water and the need for the augmentation of health infrastructure in the area. The officers present during the event utilized the platform to educate the public about the various schemes being implemented by the different departments across the district.
The Deputy Commissioner assured the public that the district administration is working tirelessly to ensure that all basic amenities are provided to the people at their doorsteps. He also assured that all genuine concerns raised during the event would be addressed in a time-bound manner through the direct intervention of the concerned departments. To expedite the redressal process, the DC issued on the spot directions to the concerned officers, to prioritize the resolution of the issues highlighted by the public.
He also spoke about the menace of drug abuse and its effects on the youth and society as a whole. He sought the active cooperation of the general public in fighting this scourge and urged them to join hands with the administration to create a drug-free society.
