RAMBAN, June 1: Deputy Commissioner, Ramban, Mussarat Islam today conducted surprise inspection of District Hospital, Ramban and Government schools to check the attendance of staff and other services.
DDC Councilors Fayaz Ahmed Naik and Gulshan Parveen, BDC Chairperson, Sajad Hussain, CEO, Dev Anand and other concerned officers were also present on the occasion.
Inspecting healthcare facilities being provided to patients in the District Hospital, the DC directed the Medical Superintendent to install additional CCTV cameras to regulate smooth functioning of the Hospital.
The DC also directed the SHO Ramban to make deployment of personnel as per requirement highlighted by the MS, DH to ensure foolproof security and check on the unnecessary entry of people in hospital.
The Deputy Commissioner also checked the roster of the doctors and other paramedical staff and passed directions for ensuring that all medical facilities are extended to OPD & IPD patients in a hassle-free manner.
The DC also directed SHO to regulate parking of vehicles in the hospital campus in coordination with MS and book all illegally parked vehicles.
The DC also visited Government High School, Seri and Government Higher Secondary School, Khari and took stock of the quality of education being imparted to the students, classrooms, provision of library, computer learning, sports and other co-curricular activities.
The DC directed the Heads of Institutions to facilitate easy access to students to the computer lab and introduce them to computer learning and other IT activities. The DC also interacted with the students and took feedback from them about facilities available in the schools and assessed their performance in academics and curricular activities.
The Deputy Commissioner also directed CEO and ZEOs to conduct frequent visits to Educational Institutions to check the availability of teaching staff and punctuality in schools.
Responding to the issues highlighted by the PRIs including shortage of subject specific teachers and basic infrastructure, the DC assured appropriate action in consultation with concerned authorities.
