DC Reasi directs for giving priority to senior citizens

REASI, May 18: Deputy Commissioner Reasi, Vishesh Paul Mahajan has directed all the District Heads to make special queues functional for the senior citizens in their respective offices and give them priority in providing services.
A circular in this regard was issued today, according to which, it has been observed that senior citizens are facing problems while obtaining services from various institutions like Banks, Hospitals and others Government departments.
“It is hereby enjoined upon all the District heads that special queues shall be made functional for the senior citizens in their respective offices and they shall be given priority in providing services so that they don’t face any inconvenience,” reads the circular.

 

Rebuttal
Apropos to the news item captioned “Blacklisted firm selected for Amarnath Yatra arrangements”, published in May 18 edition of this newspaper Bhutani International Pvt Ltd has produced copy of a letter, issued by Municipal Council Tuljapur, according to which the firm has not been blacklisted.
“As on date, no action has been taken by this office to blacklist you using the principle of natural justice in the subject matter,” read the communiqué, issued on April 24, 2024.
