DC reviews physical, financial progress under MPLAD, CDF

KATHUA, Sept 2: Deputy Commissioner, Dr. Raghav Langer, today convened a meeting to review the status of works being executed under Member Parliament Local Area Development (MPLAD) and Constituency Development Fund(CDF) scheme in the district.
The DC sought details of both physical and financial progress on all approved works being done under these schemes.
DC had a detailed review of various works being executed by Rural Development, PWD, PHE and other departments under MPLAD and CDF scheme.
Dr. Langer expressed concern over slow progress of works by different departments and stressed upon the need to accelerate the pace of progress for timely completion. He emphasized upon the concerned officers to start the pending works at the earliest and also instructed for immediate submission of updated work-wise status of all schemes from all the concerned departments.
While reviewing the achievements under RDD, the DC directed the BDOs to decentralize the mechanism of procurement of material for MGNREGA and 14 FC works through registered vendors/suppliers.
Earlier, Dr. Langer reviewed all major projects concerning Education, Higher Education, Youth Services & Sports and PWD departments. He directed the executing agency to complete all the works within the stipulated time frame. He also exhorted upon the officers to submit Utilization Certificates in time.
