RAJOURI, June 24: The Deputy Commissioner of Rajouri, Vikas Kundal, today conducted a comprehensive inspection of various development projects in the district.
Among them was the Androlla bridge, which is been completed under the languishing scheme. The bridge spans 135 meters and is estimated to cost about Rs 4.50 crore. The work on the approach road to the bridge is in progress.
During the inspection, DC Vikas Kundal urged the officials to expedite the work on the approach road so that the bridge can be fully functional as soon as possible. He was accompanied by several officers from Jal Shakti, PWD (R&B) and PDD departments, including SE PWD(R&B), Bikram Singh; SE Jal Shakti Rajouri, Bhram Jyoti Sharma; Xen Jal Shakti Rajouri, Ashwini Sharma; and Xen PWD(R&B) Rajouri, Sardar Khan
Kundal also inspected the Saranoo Thathi scheme under JJM, which is estimated to cost about Rs 6.60 crores and will benefit a population of 5000 people. The project is expected to be completed within four months, and the DC expressed his satisfaction with the progress made so far.
In addition, Vikas Kundal also visited the 6.3 MVA receiving station at Khandli, which is estimated to cost about Rs 2.79 crores. The receiving station is a crucial component of the power sector projects in the area.
