SAMBA, Nov 26: The Deputy Commissioner Samba, Sheetal Nanda today convened a meeting of revenue officials to discuss various issues related to the department, here today.
The meeting was attended by ADC Samba, Pawan Sharma, SDMs of Vijaypur and Ghagwal, ACR Samba, Tehsildars and Naib Tehsildars of the district.
The DC reviewed status of crop damage cases, departmental inquiries, vigilance complaints and implementation of Public Service Guarantee Act in the Revenue Department. She directed officers to maintain proper record regarding receipt and disposal of applications so that monitoring mechanism could be improved.
In the meeting, the DDC directed Naib Tehsildars to provide Warasati Inteqal through organising regular revenue camps in the villages so that applicants do not run from pillar to post. She further directed Tehsildars to keep a check on encroachment and take immediate cognizance of reports regarding State land encroachment on priority basis. She also directed revenue officials to strictly adhere to the deadlines in addressing public grievances and applications.
