SAMBA, Nov 16: Deputy Commissioner, Sushma Chauhan, today reviewed the implementation of Beti Bachao Beti Padhao Scheme in the district.
Chauhan, who is Chairman Beti Bachao Beti Padaho Scheme, sought the status of implementation of the scheme from the District Officers entrusted with specific duties regarding conduct of various activities under BBBP.
During the meeting, threadbare discussion on conduct of media campaigns and publicity through print, electronic and social media, documentation of success stories, best practices, dissemination of IEC material, training and capacity building programmes of district officers, police officers, religious workers, SHGs, NGOs, and other stakeholders, celebration of girl child birth, felicitating girl child with her parents in hospital, outreach activities like nukkad natak, installation of vending machine in government Higher Secondary Schools, wall paintings, hoardings, concept classes career guidance programmes, and other activities for implementation of BBBP was held.
The DC stressed upon all to complete their assigned duties in time and work out innovative plans for promoting the campaign which aims at ensuring girl child are born, nurtured and educated without any discrimination to become a empowered citizen of nation.
