SAMBA, Aug 18: District Commissioner Rajesh Sharma conducted an inspection of the Samba market today. The visit was aimed at raising awareness among the local community about the importance of maintaining cleanliness and ensuring a healthy environment.
Accompanied by the CEO of the Samba Municipality, the DC interacted with market vendors, shopkeepers, and residents, emphasizing the need for collective efforts to keep the market and its surroundings clean. He appealed to the people to cooperate with the administration, noting that cleanliness is not just the responsibility of the government but a collective duty of all citizens. “This is a people’s movement,” said DC Sharma, “and its success depends on the active participation and cooperation of everyone in the community.”
During the inspection, the Deputy Commissioner issued specific directions to ensure that the cleanliness drive in the market area is conducted twice a day. He stressed the importance of regular and sustained efforts to maintain a clean and hygienic environment for both the residents and visitors of Samba.
The Deputy Commissioner’s visit is part of a larger initiative by the Samba administration to enhance public health and sanitation standards across the district.
