DC stresses on quick disposal of land compensation cases

KATHUA, May 14 : Deputy Commissioner Kathua, Ramesh Kumar today asked all Collectors to gear up for quick  disposal of   compensation cases for land acquired across the Kathua district for various Government projects.
Speaking at a meeting, the DC said disposal of compensation cases will help fast track work on the newly sanctioned and ongoing projects under various sectors especially construction of PMGSY roads and other developmental works.
The meeting also discussed 12 cases of GREF, 52 cases under PMGSY, 48 cases of NHA1, 17 cases of Composite Band, 14 cases of BoPs, 135 ft., 1 case of small range firing range and 33 other land acquisitions.
The DC directed the officers to give first priority in solving land compensation cases of those whose land was acquired for construction of various projects particularly PMGSY and Manyari pilot project.  He asked them to provide full cooperation to other departments for completing the ongoing projects well in time.
He also stressed on expeditious assessment of actual amount of acquired land and other details so that the compensation is given to the deserving populace. He asked the officers to show results by speedily disposing off pending cases of the people.
