JAMMU, Dec 7: In the wake of increasing man-animal conflict, DC Reasi has suspended two forest department employees and initiated an enquiry against them for dereliction in duties.
It is pertinent to mention here that there was a lot of public resentment against the district administration after the leopard attack on an eight years old child in Mahore.
Talking to EXCELSIOR, DC Reasi said that public had complaints that the officials derelict their duties and on an inspection it was found that two officials of forest department Wali Mohd and Rashid were absent from their duties.
“One was in Rajouri and the other was in Jammu without informing their officers,” the DC said.
He also said that the erring officials were immediately placed under suspension and an enquiry has also been ordered against them.
