UDHAMPUR, Dec 27: To review the progress achieved in the implementation of the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana – Urban scheme, a meeting was convened under the chairpersonship of Deputy Commissioner Udhampur, Saloni Rai, here.
The meeting was attended by Additional District Development Commissioner, Rajinder Singh; Additional Deputy Commissioner, Prem Singh; Chief Executive Officer, Municipality Rajinder Digra and senior officers from line departments.
The DC assessed the town-wise registration status under the PMAY-U scheme and directed the concerned authorities to organize special camps in all three Municipalities of the district. She emphasized the need to prepare a comprehensive list of landless individuals in urban areas to ensure they are included as beneficiaries under the scheme.
She directed the officers to ensure advance financial mobilization for non-starters and complete all pending houses within the stipulated time frame. She urged the concerned departments to strictly adhere to the scheme guidelines and maintain a transparent and accountable process for the benefit of the local people.
