SAMBA, Mar 7: In order to have the quick appraisal of working of District Industries Centre, Deputy Commissioner Samba, Sheetal Nanda paid visit to District Industries Centre here today.
Satish Sharma, General Manager, District Industries Centre, Samba along with other officers of District Industrial Centre, welcomed the Deputy Commissioner.
While interacting with the officers of DIC, Mrs. Nanda laid emphasis on the work ethics and hassle free services to the entrepreneurs. She was briefed about the various industrial activities going on in the district. It was informed that there are 470 functional industrial units in Samba which includes many medium and large scale enterprises.
She also reviewed the achievements made under Prime Minister’s Employment Programme (PMEGP) wherein it was stated that against the target of 28 candidates, 64 have been sponsored by different banks for availing the loan facility. She also took review of the land acquisition proceedings for the Phase III of Industrial Growth Centre.
Deputy Commissioner asked the officers to make District Industrial centre more vibrant and hub of industrial activity in the State.
