JAMMU, Apr 27: In view of forthcoming Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra-2012, Deputy Commissioner, Jammu Sanjeev Verma, alongwith CPO Jammu, Deputy Director Tourism, Jammu, XEN PWD, XEN PHE, AEE ERA and incharge Yatri Niwas inspected Yatri Niwas, Bhagwati Nagar Jammu.
Instructions were given on spot to the concerned departments which include PWD, PHE, ERA, I&FC and Tourism regarding immediate repair and renovation wherever required. The concerned agencies were asked to complete the repair work by or before 25th May in all respect so that the pilgrims may not face any sort of inconvenience.
The Deputy Commissioner asked the CPO Jammu to issue instructions to the Municipal Corporation Jammu for ensuring availability of community halls for accommodating pilgrims during the yatra. They will furnish the list of available halls to the administration by 25th May 2012 and will ensure sanitation and drinking water facility at the halls.
Deputy Commissioner Jammu exhorted upon all the officers to redouble their efforts for the successful conduct of the Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra-2012.
