KISHTWAR, Dec 29: Taking strong note of non serious approach by the Tehsildars towards re-verification of NFSA list so that 15000 additional souls could be enlisted under priority category in the district, Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar Angrez Singh Rana today withheld the salaries of four Tehsildars of the District viz Kishtwar, Drabshalla, Dachhan and Nagsini with immediate effect and directed them to submit the list within next three days to avoid any further action.
As per the order of DC Kishtwar, these Tehsildars were repeatedly directed to provide the verified list of the beneficiaries under PHH category after Minister for FCS&CA during a video conference meeting held October 11 this year instructed for inclusion of additional 15000 souls under PHH category and accordingly he had called the meeting of all the concern officers and directed the Tehsildars of the district to re-verify the list of beneficiaries under PHH category and submit the same to him on or before November 5 which was further extended by five days due to bad weather conditions in the district.
“Out of 11 Tehsildars seven including the Tehsildar of far flung tehsils of the district like Marwah and Warwan submitted the list while requisite list in respect of tehsil Drabshalla, Kishtwar, Dachhan and Nagsini have not been finalized even after lapse of considerable time after the deadline for submitting the same”, said DC Kishtwar and added that all this shows the non serious approach of these senior revenue officials of the district that gives bad impression towards the work culture among the junior officials of the district.
He said that keeping in view of lackadaisical approach of the Tehsildar Kishtwar, Drabshalla, Dachhan and Nagsini, the salaries of all the four Tehsildars have been kept on hold till further orders. He added that any callous approach on part of any officer towards public work will be dealt strictly and cannot be tolerated.
