DCC condemns Pakistan for targeting civilians

JAMMU, Mar 2: District Congress Committee (DCC) Jammu Urban has condemned the Pakistan and its troops for targeting Indian civilians along the Line of Control in Rajouri and Poonch and causing four fatal casualties.
A meeting of DCC Jammu Urban was held here today at PCC office Shahidi Chowk Jammu under the chairmanship of Vikram Malhotra- Distt president. All the participants in a unanimous voice strongly condemned and criticized Pakistan for unprovoked firing on the villages along LoC in which our Army jawans are getting martyred and civilians are being killed and injured daily, besides the border residents have suffered a huge loss of property and livestock.
The participants also highlighted the burning civic problems, falling standards of health facilities, non- availability of medicines and other facilities at the Government Medical institutions. Participants also expressed their deep concern over the poor sanitation conditions in the Jammu city, other developmental works which have virtually came to a halt.
Malhotra asked the party workers to expose the falsehood of BJP at the grass- root level which sought mandate on false promises and unachievable slogans besides divisive agenda. He said that the people have identified the real face of BJP and would give them a befitting reply in the forthcoming Parliament elections and future elections in the State. He said that the unemployment was a huge challenge for the state and this problem contributes to the political uncertainty and unrest.
