UDHAMPUR, Aug 4: A meeting of District Congress Committee Udhampur was held today for highlighting the local issues and chalk out future programmes for further strengthening the party at grass root level.
The meet highlighted the demands, which include construction of a Mazdoor Sarai in Udhampur and free ration to the people in far flung areas, affected due to regular rains, for the last one month.
While addressing the gathering, senior Congress leader Brij Mohan Sharma demanded that Udhampur town should be brought under tourism map, construction of international sports stadium, super specialist doctors in the District Hospital, etc.
Among those who addressed the meeting, included DCC general secretary Shanker Dass Sadotra, Syed Shakeel Shah, Sumit Magotra, Sarpanch Sham Lal Smanotra and others.
