Jammu, June 4: A meeting of the District Congress Committee Leh was held today under the chairmanship of president DCC, Leh Tsering Samphel at Congress Office Leh in which, among other issues, Congress Party Leh expressed its gratitude and thanks to the J&K Coalition Government for the decision taken in the Cabinet meeting held yesterday at Srinagar to enhance the retirement age of the State Government employees from 58 years to 60 years, and upper age limit for applying for Government jobs from 37 to 40 and for the reserved category from 40 years to 43 years. This decision has fulfilled a six-year old demand of the employees in the State, the meet added.
The meeting also extended full support for 12.50 % Special Duty Allowance for the State Government employees serving in Ladakh at par with those of the Central Government employees.
