DCC Jammu Urban gears up for MC polls

JAMMU, Nov 2: District Congress Committee Jammu (Urban) held a meeting here to   activate and gear up interactions between the blocks and other political functionaries of the party in view of much awaited Municipal Corporation elections expected to be held in the State.
The meeting at the PCC headquarters here was chaired by vice president PCC  Raman Bhalla (former Minister) &  Anil Chopra, president DCC Jammu (U). The participants laid a greater stress on political areas like strengthening the coordination between the wards, blocks, district functionaries and youth management. They also expressed desire to participate and interact more often at wards and blocks level.
The meeting held threadbare discussions for the Civil Secretariat ‘Gherao’ programme by the JKPCC and also appealed the party workers/activists to reach Jammu in large number to participate in the protest of ‘Gherao’ of Civil Secretariat on first day of its reopening in Jammu on November 9, 2015. The leaders said that both PDP and BJP have brought the State at the verge of disintegration through their policies. They  said that the communal harmony and brotherhood have been shaken in the State due to the controversies raised by these two parties for their vested interests.
Those who participated and deliberated included  Kanta Bhan, Namrata Sharma,  BB Gupta, Dr RK Khajuria, Ch Dawarka, Madan Lal Malagar, Chamail Singh, Koushal Sharma, HS Baggi, Pradeep Bhagat, Rajinder Singh Jamwal, Lalita Sharma, Asha Rani, Rita Devi, Balbir Thyal, Thomas Khokhar, Padamni Langeh, Babu Singh, Mohinder Paul, Dr Vijay Sharma, Jai Singh, Paras Ram and others.
