DCC stages protest against Modi Govt

* BJP misusing central agencies: Mula Ram

JAMMU, July 28: District Congress Committee (DCC), Jammu Rural, intensified protest against the repeated calling of their top leader Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi by the Enforcement Directorate in the National Herald case.
Led by DCC Rural president, Hari Singh Chib; Mula Ram, former minister and vice president JKPCC (Observer) and Uday Bhanu Chib, president J&K Pradesh Youth Congress, the party activists took out a protest rally marched towards SDM North Office but were stopped by heavy contingent of Police deployed near Petrol Pump at Janipur in Jammu North Constituency. Later, the Congress leaders sat on Satyagraha and raised anti-central government and anti-BJP slogans.
Congress leaders raised slogans against ED and Modi Govt and also criticized Central Government headed by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi against rise of prices of essential commodities and growing unemployment across the country.
Talking to reporters, senior Congress leader Mula Ram said “Modi Government was trying to shift the attention of the people from price rise, unemployment, Agniveer issue besides the failures of the government on different fronts and was misusing the agencies like ED and CBI against the top political leaders of the opposition parties.”
He said BJP was adopting undemocratic measures and this party would have to pay heavily in the coming elections.
Hari Singh Chib said that top Congress leadership including Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi were being summoned by ED on ‘false, baseless and fabricated’ issues. He said that those issues related to common Indian were not being allowed to raise in the Parliament and those try to raise them are ‘being punished and penallised’.
Uday Chib, said it is anarchy and dictatorship enforced on the common man who is already under the burden of price rise, GST, unemployment and harassment. “Youth Congress condemns such acts of BJP Government at highest level and terms such acts as means to lower the voice against draconian government. Indian democracy is at high threat under the BJP leaders,” Uday said.
Senior leaders Som Nath, Ajaib Motton, Prem Singh, Babu Khan, Rajinder Kumar, Ram Pal, Rattan Sharma, Om Parkash, Surinder Kumar, Madan Singh and others also accompanied.
