DCs to receive demands for new AUs in left out pockets

SRINAGAR, June 13: The first meeting of the Expert Committee constituted to examine the feasibility/demands for creation of new administrative units in the left out pockets was held here today.
The Committee decided that the Deputy Commissioners will receive the demands for creation of new administrative units in the left out pockets in their respective districts after informing the public in this regard.
It was also decided that the Deputy Commissioners will receive the demands upto 24th June, 2014 after which the demands will be scrutinized and consolidated and then submitted to the respective Divisional Commissioners by or before 2nd July, 2014 for being placed before the Expert Committee.
It was decided that the demands will be scrutinized at the district level in consultation with the concerned officers of the Revenue and Rural Development Departments.
