KATHUA, Nov 10: Six very Low Transmitters relaying the programmes of DD, National and DD, Jammu and working under the Doordarshan Maintenance Centre, Kathua and installed at Bani, Basholi, Billawar, Ramkot, Lakhri(Gujroo Nagrota) and Hirangar will be closed from November 16 this year.
This was stated by Sat Paul, Dy Director Engineering, DD Head of Office, Doordarshan Maintenance Centre, Kathua. He said the action has been taken on the directives of Director General Doordarshan , New Delhi. He said over 100 DD and private channels can now be watched on direct to home (DD free Dish) with good quality. The further information in this regard can be available on DD website “ ddinddia .gov.in”, he added.
