DDB boycott

Sir,
Apropos to the news published in Daily Excelsior dated 24-11-2015 ‘Dy. CM to boycott DDB meeting’, it is disheartening that on an issue of releasing funds directly to the concerned executors, which actually is no issue, has been taken so seriously by Dy.CM that he decided to boycott DDB meeting.  It speaks of the non-serious concern on the part of Dy.CM as the DDB meetings are the real platforms to discuss, deliberate and decide the issues which usher an era of development. The funds have to be released by the Finance Department and if released directly to the Executors, is an innovative and thoughtful idea of the FM, as it avoids the delay in reaching the money to the executing agencies on one hand and on the other  will stop the kick backs involved in reaching the payments to the actual claimant.     Some traditional practices are required to be shelved at all levels to keep  pace with the time for the betterment of the advancing humanity. We congratulate the FM of J&K Government for taking the lead. This practice by the FM of releasing funds should  be applied to all the ministries as this healthy practice will heavily erase the corrupt practices and will prove as a mile stone in curbing the corruption involved in the chain of money releasing process which starts from the very moment, the funds released by the Finance Ministry to the concerned Ministry and then step by step percolates the claimant. The Legislators are required to exhibit their ability in shaping the society by redressing their problems and to enact Laws for the betterment of the people rather than to adopt attitude of boycotting DDB meetings and registering their concerns on such ‘no issues’. They must show some practical results on the ground rather than diverting the attention of the commoners by their hollow slogans.
Yours etc…..
