RAJOURI, Oct 21: Naseem Liaquat, Chairman DDC Rajouri today kick started the construction work of highly demanded road from the main road to Kopra village in Panchayat Mehrajpura of block Plangar.
This road was a long pending demand of people from Plangar and Kopra which will connect these two important locations and provide a direct connectivity reducing travel time and distance.
DDC Chairman Naseem had successfully raised this demand and it was approved and about Rs 2 crores sanctioned for the road to be constructed under PMGSY Scheme.
Many locals along with several prominent persons of the area accompanied Chairman DDC Rajouri and thanked him for fulfilling this 50 year old pending demand thereby providing connectivity these two important location.
Prominent among those who were present on the occasion included, Ex- Sarpanch Mehrajpura Maqbool Hussain, Sarpanch Panchayat Mehrajpura Shahida Kouser, Irfan Anjum , PRIs and large number of locals of the area.
