DDC Chairman Reasi finalizes District Capex Plan

REASI, July 12: The District Development Council Reasi meeting convened today under the chairmanship of DDC Chairperson Saraf Singh Nag at the Conference Hall of the DC Office Complex to finalize the developmental plan under the District Capex Plan for 2024-2025.
The meeting saw the presence of DDC Vice Chairperson Sajra Qadir, DDC members, ADDC Reasi Sukhdev Singh Samyal, Chief Planning Officer Narinder Kumar, DPO Poshan Mohd Anwar Banday, ACD Pardeep Kumar, CEO, Xen PHE, Xen PMGSY, BDO’s and other district officers.
Chief Planning Officer Reasi delivered a comprehensive PowerPoint presentation detailing the sector-wise allocation of funds earmarked for various works.
At the outset, ADDC Reasi Sukhdev Singh Samyal apprised the DDC Chairperson about the ongoing and proposed developmental activities, emphasizing the strategic importance of each project under consideration. The discussion focused on ensuring optimal resource allocation to maximize developmental impact across infrastructure, health, education and rural development sectors.
The DDC Vice Chairperson and members highlighted developmental issues within their respective areas and proposed suggestions for improvements across various departments. A detailed discussion was held on aspects of the Area Development Plan, District Capex, NABARD, JJM and prioritization of other works.
Chairperson DDC Saraf Singh Nag emphasized the importance of timely project completion and urged all officers to work collaboratively to meet the district’s development goals. He also stressed the need for transparency and accountability in the implementation of the Capex Plan to ensure that the benefits reach the grassroots level. He highlighted that this year’s Capex Plan focuses on making substantial development assets, particularly in the health and education sectors.
After detailed deliberations, the DDC council members unanimously approved the Capex Plan, pegged at Rs 6201.53 lakh, to meet the development needs of the district. The council also unanimously resolved that the allocated funds shall be used for capital projects within the allocated sectors.
Chairman Saraf Singh Nag exhorted the council members to undertake projects of public importance under the current allocation of the district Capex to meet the popular development aspirations of the people.
