KATHUA, Aug 23: In order to take stock of people’s problems and issues, Col Mahan Singh (Retired), District Development Council (DDC) Chairman Kathua today visited remote villages of Bagh, Chake, Maglera, Karandi, Adaat, Punkher of Kelhari, Adaat panchayats and villages Karnwada, Tawara and Danni of Sabar Panchayat falling in Mahanpur Tehsil of Basohli Sub District.
BJP senior functionaries Captain Des Raj, Madal Sharma, Harbans Jamralia, Sarpanch Radha Rani, Sarpanch Darshan Kohli, Anchal Singh and others were present on the occasion. During interaction with the DDC Chairman, people of these areas raised multiple issues mainly pertaining to road connectivity, drinking water, electricity, health care, animal clinics, old age pension, PMAY houses, etc.
DDC Chairman after giving a patient hearing to the villagers assured them of resolving their problems at the earliest. Col Mahan Singh said that the Government is fully sensitive towards the issues of the people and is taking comprehensive measures for redressal of the same at the earliest. He said, “We are working with the agenda of holistic development of all the regions of the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir, besides putting in concerted efforts to meet the developmental aspirations of the people.”
Col Mahan Singh said that PM’s flagship schemes have been launched for the welfare of common masses at the Central and Union Territory level for the development of Jammu and Kashmir and he will make ensure that all the public welfare schemes are implemented well on the ground and deserving beneficiaries are benefitted well under these flagship schemes.
The DDC Chairman said that Modi Government and UT Administration are fully committed to the well being and over all development of rural areas especially the remote and far flung areas in Jammu and Kashmir. He resolved not to rest till all the promises made by BJP during PRI elections get fulfilled.
