DODA, July 25: District Development Council (DDC) chairman, Dhanantar Singh Kotwal along with vice chairperson Sangeeta Bhagat, Tehsildar Bhalla, Executive Engineer PMGSY Doda and BDO Bhalla here today visited Panchayat Khari Chattra which was hit by cloudburst on July 22.
The calamity had inflicted huge damage to the public property and around 200 meters of Khari Chatra road was washed away cutting off the village from rest of the district.
The DDC chairman on spot directed the Executive Engineer to work on war footing to restore the damaged road so that sufferings of the public can be ameliorated. He also directed Tehsildar Bhalla to assess the damage caused to the property. BDO Bhalla was directed to restore the damaged footpaths and verify the damages caused to the residential houses.
Among others Sarpanch Chattra, Mandal Pradhan BJP Bhalra Chinta and general secretary Mandal Bhalra Chinta were also present on the occasion.
