RAMBAN, June 24: Chairperson District Development Council, Ramban, Dr. Shamshad Shan today chaired a meeting of council regarding formulation of District Capex Plan 2024-25.
The meeting was attended by the Vice-Chairperson DDC, Ramban, Rabia Beigh and DDC members.
The senior officers including ADDC, Roshan Lal, CPO, Shakeeb Ahmed, ACD, Shrinath Suman, Executive Engineers of PWD (R&B), Jal Shakti Department, JPDCL, PMGSY, REW, CMO and other senior officers of the concerned departments were present in the meeting.
During the course of the meeting, sector wise ceiling under the district Capex Budget for the year 2024-25 was conveyed to all the district officers besides the guidelines and directions to formulate the sector wise and work wise Action plan was also discussed in detail.
The Chairperson directed all the officers to ensure the formulation of the plan in consultation with DDC members besides stress for the formulation of a multilayer perspective plan that will yield maximum to the public benefit. She also asked members to focus on completion of ongoing projects besides projecting only those works/projects which shall complete in stipulated time frame keeping in view the working period of current financial years.
It was also exhorted upon all DDC members and officers to formulate the development plan in accordance with the ceiling conveyed to them and to ensure the best use of available resources.
Threadbare discussions on key sectors and schemes which are part of the District Development Plan likewise, MGNREGA, PMAY, Jal Jeevan Mission, were held in the meeting and necessary directions were passed to the concerned.
Special thrust was laid on Health, Employment, Education and Power. For the Drinking water plan, Jal Shakti Department was asked to implement all the schemes effectively to provide tap water supply to all left out habitations during the current financial year.
