UDHAMPUR, Jan 3: District Development Council Udhampur under the Chairmanship of DDC Chairman, Udhampur Lal Chand reviewed the present status of Area Development Plan, District Capex Budget 2022-23 PRI, BDC and DDC grants and other developmental works here.
Vice Chairperson DCC, Udhampur Juhi Manhas Pathania, Additional District Development Commissioner, Ghan Shyam Singh who is also the Chief Executive Officer of District Development Udhampur, Chief Planning Officer, Mudassir Yaqoob Zargar, Assistant Commissioner Development, Ranjeet Kotwal, BDCs, DDCs and BDOs attended the meeting.
A threadbare discussion was held on various aspects which include physical progress of Area Development Plan works, physical status of District Capex budget and other new works, Block wise Physical/Financial status of works 2022-23 under ADP and other departmental works, detail of works completed under ADP during 2022-23 in respect of District Udhampur, Block/sector wise new works of PRI, Block/sector wise SOS works of BDC, Constituency/sector wise new works of DDC etc discussed in detail.
ADDC gave a detailed PowerPoint presentation on the physical and financial progress achieved on developmental works being executed under different sectors in the district during the year 2022-23. He briefed the Council about the physical progress of Area Development Plan for the year 2022-23. He apprised that under ADP a total of 1927 number of works approved for execution in which 1388 new works, while 472 SOS works and 67 works executed by RDD out of which 1493 works have been completed so far.
ADDC also briefed about the financial achievements under ADP and expenditure incurred till 31-12-2022 Rs-34.39 crore as on date. He informed that 84.36 percent of expenditure against available funds.
While reviewing the scheme/ sector wise progress of various works, the Chairperson DDC stressed upon all the concerned officers to gear up the process for completion of targets and utilization of 100% funds. He stressed upon the officers to maintain transparency and accountability in the execution of works. Direction were issued to concerned department for completion of all ongoing projects at stipulated time frame without compromising their quality and leaving no scope of any complaint from any quarter.
BDCs and DDCs raised various issues and demands regarding shortage of staff in Educational and Health institutions, unscheduled power cuts, 14th FC, providing electricity poles, installation of mobile tower, providing bus service, repairing of hand pumps etc.
