DDC conducts tour of border villages

SAMBA, June 21: District Development Commissioner, R.K Varma today conducted extensive tour of various border areas of Samba district to take stock of grievances of the people  besides reviewing status of ongoing development works in these areas.
The DDC was accompanied by Superintendent Engineer PDD, Executive Engineer, PWD,  CEO, CAO, CHO and heads of various departments.
The DDC held public grievances camps at Chilliari, Chachwal and Manguchak villages which were attended by a large number of local people.
The Saprpanchs and Panchs of the areas put forth various demands and problems including availability of drinking water, compensation of land, cultivation of land across fencing, repairing of roads, maintenance of water ponds, regular supply of electricity, construction of health sub centres and daily bus service at Manguchak.
The DDC listened to the demands and problems being faced by the people of these border areas and assured them that all their issues would be redressed in a time bound manner. He instructed all the heads of the departments to work with missionary zeal and dedication for resolving the issues of people leaving no space for complaints.
