REASI, May 17: The District Development Commissioner Reasi, Dr. Shahid Iqbal Choudhary distributed sewing machines and certificates among the 28 beneficiaries who were imparted training by the District Urban Development Agency (DUDA) Udhampur/Reasi for six month under Swarna Jayanti Shahari Rozgar Yojana (SJSRY) in the town.
Speaking on the occasion, the DDC stressed on the beneficiaries to establish their own units for employment promotion and raise their economic condition. He assured all possible help from administration as well as financial assistance from the bank for setting up self help groups. He also asked the Urban development Agency to fully aware the beneficiaries about all the schemes covered under this programme.
The Project Officer, District Urban Development Agency, Udhampur/Reasi Kavita Kumari also spoke on the occasion.
Later, a deputation of local led by ex-Councilor of the town Ravi Nag called on the DDC and apprised him of problems being faced by the locals of the Katra town and delay in shifting of bus stand.
The DDC gave patient hearing and assured for early redressal of their genuine problems.
