KATHUA, Aug 17: The District Development Commissioner, Kathua Dr. Shahid Iqbal Choudhary today flagged off Yatra to Kailash Kund.
The Chief Executive Officer, Lakhanpur Sarthal Development Authority, who is coordinating the Yatra arrangements informed that the Annual Kailash Yatra has commenced from 14th August & will finally culminate on 24th August. He told that two Chari Mubaraks one from Bani and another from Duggan leave for Kailash Kund Yatra every year.
This is for the first time that District Administration and Lakhanpur Sarthal Development Authority are facilitating the pilgrimage.
Dr. Sahid Iqbal Choudhary, appreciated the efforts of Lakhanpur Sarthal Development Authority in this regard and assured all help to the Yatra & langer committee. He said that the administration has made arrangement of tents, temporary shelter and medicare at Sarthal, Chattergalla and Chattri areas.
G. Ramaswami, Additional Deputy Commissioner, Kamal Darora, XEn, LSDA, members of Jai Jagdamba Langer Committee and large number of people were present on the occasion.
