Taking a serious note of poor performance of teachers, the DDC enquired about specific reasons for dismal performance from each of the Headmaster and Principal for devising a school specific strategy to improve the results in current session.
In 14 Higher Secondary and High School of Reasi district only 110 students passed the examination registering a cumulative pass percentage of 21.07%.
It was decided in the meeting that stringent action will be taken against all poor performers especially in cases of schools recording zero result.

Dr Shahid directed the CEO for school specific interventions to improve such results in future.
It was informed that the computer and science teachers will be trained for High and Higher Secondary Schools through DIET and Uniform Force and NHPC. He asked for recommending names of deserving students to be sent for ITI and polytechnic training which will be sponsored by NHPC at Chandigarh.
The DDC also assured additional incentives for contractual teachers to be provided by the district administration in remote areas. He also called for a one day interaction with all contractual teachers for fixing targets and underlining individual responsibility for current academic session.
