DDC holds meeting of heads of educational institutions

SAMBA, Apr 10: District Development Commissioner, Samba Sheetal Nanda today convened a meeting to sensitize officers and heads of educational institutions regarding worldwide trend of increase in targeting of educational institutions as vulnerable spots by anti social and terrorist organizations.
SSP Samba Joginder Singh ,ASP Fazal Quereshi, CEO Samba Mangal Dev, Principal GDC Samba Principal and Headmasters of various Government and private schools were present in the meeting.
DDC and SSP Samba briefed those present about the vulnerability of educational institutions in a border district like Samba. SSP Samba while assuring about the security arrangements being fully in place impressed upon them that they need to be vigilant and alert about the presence of suspected elements in or around their campus.
The District Administration stressed upon the need to maintain a disciplined regime of securing every campus with boundary walls and gates which should ensure restricted movement of outside elements except the students and teaching staff.
DDC instructed all schools to provide a status report regarding construction of boundary walls and chowkidars. They were also asked to sensitize the students also in this regard. The heads of the institutions were requested to be the eyes and ears of a fully equipped police force which is all prepared to counter and foil any subversive activity
